I went a bit further than on other occasions this time - further even than the Frenchman's Bay, and managed to see quite a couple of interesting things along the way. Here are some of the pics I took...<br />

It's not that unusual for me to start out with a simple thought and end up at a totally different place, miles away from where I started.<br />
<a name='more'></a>I'm guessing I am not unique with this - as if anything can be unique in someone (you must not teach your kids that they are special... they would be grateful for not being let down on the long run) -, so just try to keep up with me. You can call me crazy later :)<br />
<br />
The first thing on the menu is that no matter how normal something seems to you, there will come a day when you will realize it is totally crazy.<br />
<br />
In come a simple show on TV, in English called "Come Dine With Me". In case you don't know it, it's about five different people throwing a dinner party on five different nights in a row and at the end deciding which party was the best.<br />
<br />
Upon seeing this, I immediately recognized the format on one of the shows I used to watch on Hungarian television (only they made it with celebrities), so of course I tried to make a connection. Only to realize that "Fish on a pie" does not sound too good.<br />
<br />
Of course it would be hard to explain that it is actually a word-play (In Hungarian it's Hal a tortán, which I'm guessing comes from HAB a tortán - which in fact means cream on the cake, which in its turn means to top something good with something even better... you know, to make it awesome), so you will just laugh it off every single time it will come up in a discussion with the people to whom you mentioned it (and believe me, they will pass it on, because, come on, you guys are weird and funny...)<br />
<br />
That being said, do NOT ever try to drink alcohol while there is something cooking in the oven - and someone else is trying to explain some things to you.<br />
<br />
Now here is a "funny" story - I assure you I do not find it funny at the moment because I feel I'm in serious trouble (tho I think it WILL become funny once enough time passed). <br />
<br />
Yesterday was a good day, and as such one should be prepared to make some mistakes right after waking up. Now, going to sleep with your mind buzzing from all the doctor who deliciousness while you drank yourself to a relaxed enough state to not feel the cold anymore... and with the smell and promise of pie for tomorrow, you are guaranteed to make a mistake.<br />
<br />
My mistake was not looking in the fridge.<br />
<br />
Because, apparently there were two pies, one for me the other for someone else and mine was in the fridge.<br />
<br />
You might guess that when you wake up famished with a taste for some yummy pie you will<br />
effing go for it.<br />
<br />
I prefer to think that my bloodlust was kicking in and it overshadowed my thinking. Of course once satisfied you WILL wake up to the horror of the leftovers in front of you, while your face and hands are covered with sticky, meaty goo (who would even bother with a fork).<br />
<br />
Well fuck. my. life.<br />
<br />
(Does anyone know a good meat pie recipe to replace it please?)<br />
<br />
Oh and talking about a sticky, meaty goo... (also doctor who... oh dear it rhymes, get the New York Times)<br />
<br />
Did everyone love last night's movie as much as I did?Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10272450019968586919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6372962320814876298.post-35319528827450219882013-11-13T13:09:00.003+02:002013-11-13T13:09:41.671+02:00...can tell you guys about England, is that it's colorful. Yesterday someone asked me what England was like... I thought for a few minutes about this question before I answered - as I always do when I'm chatting online with someone (it's one of the reasons why I prefer this type of talking... it gives me time to think things over) - and I came to the obvious conclusion, that if I were to describe it in one word, I would use colorful. <br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
Now people will probably ask me why use that word? After all, I DO come from a country that has everything a country would want (even though it is sadly unused and not appreciated at the moment): sea, mountains, hills and plains, forests and large fields... <br />
<br />
Yes, it's true, but it is still not as colorful as the country I am currently residing in (who knows for how long, though...?) <br />
<br />
Both literally and figuratively. <br />
<br />
As I told you guys in my anterior post, it's the little things that will matter in the future. When it comes to remembering what mattered the most, that is. <br />
<br />
And for a person who comes from another country, every little detail will matter. <br />
<br />
I don't think there exist a person in the world who will not try to compare the old with the new and try to decide whics is better, which can offer more and what are the differences - what could be improved? <br />
<br />
I also mentioned the buses in the last post (and forget to mention how intimidating it was to actually have to press a stop button when you want to get off, since back in Romania they don't have anything like that... or if there is a button, it's only for emergencies) - for which I have to appologize now. It seems I did judge too quickly... Most buses I used this last week WERE late, and when I say late, I mean late by more than ten minutes. Ah shucks. <br />
<br />
Anyways, back to the colorful bit. <br />
<br />
Let me start with the literal bit. This Sunday I was taking one of the buses into Sunderland and as I do every time, I looked out the window with my mind completely dulled by the music blasting into my ears. Since the bus takes you right along the sea at some point, and since it was the middle of the day - not a single cloud around-, I was almost blinded by the Sun shining off of the water. <br />
<br />
It was both annoying and pretty. And as usual, I never have my camera on me when I come across something pretty. <br />
<br />
The sea kind of reminded me of Life of Pi (remember that scene in the movie where everything shines in orange and yellow?). <br />
<br />
Then there are the sunsets. I prefer the ones where some clouds gather around the sun and they are cast in colors ranging from yellow to purple... Really nice, kind of like you would imagine only a photoshopped picture to be. <br />
<br />
Also, I'm not sure I mentioned this before, but the grass is green here - people are actually cutting grass in the middle of november- and as my hosts assure me, it will be green all trough winter (well, with a coat of white when it will snow, that is). <br />
<br />
Yesterday as I was walking the dog - it was already dark outside - I also noticed that my host family lived in the perfect place anyone would want to live in. The field is just close enough to the house not to be too terrified of going out in dark, and just far enough from all the lights that you could actually see the stars. <br />
<br />
And as you already know, I love watching the stars... <br />
<br />
As for the not so literal bit... it is colorful because of the many cultures living along mostly in peace... you know, without actually judging anyone. Most people around Romania will probably turn out to be closed minded old farts or annoying teenagers who do whatever they want anyway, so it's actually refreshing to be able to see all kinds of people out and about without being laughed at or being made fun of. <br />
<br />
Now, I'm not saying that everything is all pink and roses here - as always, every country has its problems - but at least England is a few steps before Romania is a couple of things (as in, most things), so I hope that one day we will manage to catch up to them. Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10272450019968586919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6372962320814876298.post-74745355319653592722013-11-08T13:34:00.000+02:002013-11-08T13:34:55.550+02:00...think I deserve is a nice greeting from everyone. I am now sitting in the Sunderland library... I have about 50 more minutes left of my full internet session, which is probably not too much considering all the things that I could talk about.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
But back to the beginning, and the reason why I suddenly disappeared... <br />
<br />
You see, a couple of month ago I was still searching for a job at home, and my computer just gave up on me. Dad, never one to give up on it, tried to get all my stuff back - yes, I lost everything -, so after about a month of fooling around he admitted defeat. <br />
<br />
The computer was taken in to see if it can be repaired - it can't - and meanwhile I also managed to find a job... In England... <br />
<br />
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I am in England (as you probably guessed from me mentioning Sunderland. <br />
<br />
Anyway, things have been busy around here. Since I don't have a laptop to write my blog, changes will have to be made... I could try to occasionally come up here to the library and do some writing... It will not be an every day occurance, tho. <br />
<br />
Also, since I never really logged into my blogger account, I have no idea how thing are view and follower - wise, and in the last two months I almost even forgot how to edit my posts... so please, forgive me for my errors. <br />
<br />
All right, another 5 minutes gone, so let's get down to business. <br />
<br />
And the most obvious choice is to write about the language barrier, so to speak. <br />
<br />
Number one note... some people here think I have an American accent. Might be because I learnt the language from TV, but not really sure about the accent bit. I think an American would laugh in my face if he/she heard it. <br />
<br />
Second note, it's hard but not impossible. <br />
<br />
Yes, sometimes I mishear things, and in other occasions I don't even pay attention enough to actually know what someone is telling me (but this happens with my mother language too, so not complaining...). Then, there are the words or expressions that you probably don't understand because you didn't grow up in this community...<br />
<br />
Like that time when someone asked me about five times if we had a "sweeping brush" and I looked like I came from another planet before I figured out that that's a broom... <br />
<br />
There is then the part where some people talk really fast so you have to concentrate really hard so you can understand... anyways, it's all OK. It's fine... <br />
<br />
I learnt quite a few things since I've been here too... <br />
<br />
Like the trasportation should be solved by English people all over the world... (tickets bought from driver or machines at the station; bus/metro/train connections to everything, fast travel, rarely any running late, and no overcrowding) <br />
<br />
Like you can do almost anything with an ID and a letter that has your address on it here (Romania, take a note!)<br />
<br />
Like you should not give a rat's ass what someone looks like, because they might be wearing their full wardrobe right now because of the cold (Today I will put the blouse I used on the outside under my other blouse...) <br />
<br />
Like hot water bottles are something that you look forward to all day long (and that it takes about four hours for them to get cold again, so you should fall asleep quickly) <br />
<br />
Like it is acceptable to go to bed at 20:00 without any questions asked <br />
<br />
Like you do NOT reuse a tea packet in a second cup - and take it out after a couple of dips into the hot water. <br />
<br />
Like it's always the stupidest, most little things that you will miss from back home (baloney sandwitches, cuddling the tiny dog or drinking sana). <br />
<br />
People ask me if I miss my home, and I always tell them no, not really. It's true, I'm not a people person, and I can just as well live anywhere abroad as back in Romania - you will find out that people adapt quite easily to new things... <br />
<br />
Still, I will admit to being scared shitless the day I took my trip (first time on a plane, first time in England, first time to travel 100% alone in a foreign place, first time to meat new people...). <br />
<br />
When I got off that plane back in London I felt frustrated and kind of stupid... I DID make quite a few mistakes that day (and still make some until this day, so my motto now became ''don't worry, you'll laugh about this later''), like waiting at the wrong place for my bags, not reacognizing it, buying the same train ticket twice, etc. etc. <br />
<br />
Now it seems funny, but believe me it is anything BUT when you are there. <br />
<br />
Anyways, for those who want to embark on a new adventure, I recommend doing this. It will be hard and terrifying at first, but there is nothing better to learn than going to another country on your own and trying to make something out of yourself after you depended on other people for the last 24 years of your life. <br />
<br />
I'm happy, guys. I don't feel like life is pushing me back into my bed every morning, and I'm not depressed about being useless anymore. Even if my days are pretty boring on the whole, the little things are still worth it. <br />
<br />
And now, I'm almost out of my time - internet time that is... <br />
<br />
So I bid you guys farewell. Until the next time. <br />
<br />

And because of this video, I decided that today's topic will be... Dum-Dum-DUUMMMM.<br />
<a name='more'></a>Impersonation.<br />
<br />
Well... not the full impersonation, just the fun "I'm talking just the way those guys are" kind of impersonation.<br />
<br />
Let's get going (cause I'm in a hurry.........)<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<object height="320" width="400"><param name="movie" value="http://www.hahaclips.net/emb.aspx/video~impersonationtastic_guy_with_great_talent/Impersonationtastic_Guy_With_Great_Talent/Funny_videos/"></param>
<param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param>
<embed src="http://www.hahaclips.net/emb.aspx/video~impersonationtastic_guy_with_great_talent/Impersonationtastic_Guy_With_Great_Talent/Funny_videos/" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="400" height="320"></embed></object></div>
<br />
Christopher Walken is hilarious, no matter how you look at him, and Davind Attenborough's stuff is always funny - when you find him anywhere else but a documentary.<br />
<br />
All right, then there is the following two videos... I swear, guys, this person is a genius! He manages to voice 100 different people in each of these two vids, so you will surely find something there that you'll like...<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/xcl_FjicM9k" width="420"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/f2krVT5R9PQ" width="420"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Aaaaand, after that I HAD to add Michael Winslow too, because what the hell would a list like this be without Michael? </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Here's a funny little interview with him... </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/P0jo8VQ-zBY" width="560"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
And of course, when it's Winslow, we have to HAVE this collection... </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/4SRHi1t3faM" width="420"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

Since I'm in the topic of cartoons, why not try it again, right? Of course, I'm right...<br />
<a name='more'></a>Thus, what I came up with for you guys today is to gather up toons that rely on the old elemental rock-paper-scissors game.<br />
<br />
1. Pokémon<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/JuYeHPFR3f0" width="420"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Well, duh... probably the most well known one, even though it's not exactly superpowers we are talking about now. As far as I remember it started out with the three basics, water, earth and fire - and other elements were added to it trough time. I have never watched the series to the end (I have a haunch that they are still making it, tho I'm not really interested in it anymore), but the animals were quite cute nonetheless. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
2. Avatar: the last Airbender </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/tNZ6O4oNgbI" width="420"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Sadly the original opening sequence can not be find on the internet ANYWHERE. I'm guessing that it gets removed every time someone attempts to upload it, because it is so freakin' popular. Anyways, not looking at the movie (the movie was one of the worst things I have ever see in my life), Avatar is a pretty damned good show for everyone. I highly recommend it if you have not checked it out until now. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
3. Sailor Moon </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/X6_RZhh44NY" width="420"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I have to admit that I have never watched this show in my life - and I kind of don't want to check it out now either-, though it WAS quite popular in its days. I remember that girls outside my block were talking about it nonstop. Though this time, as you probably guessed it, the elements are not addressed as pure elements, they are instead represented by planets and things floating around the Universe. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
4. Captain Planet and the Planeteers </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/vpXM9bj-WPU" width="420"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This show is old enough to actually have a girl from the "Soviet Union" in it, but I guess it was not a problem seeing how it was generally about finally realizing that protecting the environment should be people's number one job. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
5. W.I.T.C.H.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/XtZITs688ME" width="420"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This one was my sister's favorite cartoon for quite a long time, and I'm guessing that the makers of the show were all trying to write a series similar to Sailor Moon... meaning for typical little girls, and female teenagers. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Sooo. What did I leave out, guys? Anything that you remember from your childhood that's a variation of this same theme? </div>
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10272450019968586919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6372962320814876298.post-62747066511210777852013-07-17T16:02:00.000+03:002013-07-17T16:02:11.782+03:00...wanted to make today is a list about old cartoons. Kind of in the manner of "do you remember these?"...<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a>Because, let's be honest, there are quite a few toons out there that we all enjoyed to some manner of degree, but they somehow also managed to slip back into the unknown...<br />
<br />
Thus, let's go on a little trip down memory lane.<br />
<br />
1. Busytown<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/cgV3vdOT09I" width="420"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I have to admit that I've seen these mostly on Saturday early morning, and in summer I actually woke up early to watch cartoons. Yeah, I'm old enough to actually say that I was around in those times. Of course back then I mainly watched these in Hungarian, so I had to do a bit of research to find the originals, but hey, they were worth it! </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
2. Babar</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/2LUHCa_jnHE" width="420"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Oooh, this one was an amazing cartoon, I was practically in love with it. It was soo heartwarming and cute and scary and sad at the same time, that I always watched it with my eyes glued to the screen. Even now I can remember exact scenes of it - for example when the old lady is dying, the one where Babar tries to get into a gang of kids, or the one with the Phantom of the Opera. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
3. Simsala Grimm </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/ky4b-tWCx3g" width="420"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I think this one was a German toon, thus I could only find the ending song to it, but I remember this song quite clearly, and I remember also loving the style the old Grimm stories were presented to us. By the way, do you guys also remember the other classic toon - the Andersen stories? I thin it always started out with a possible writer or teacher visiting some kids and they were cartoonified for the sake of the story... </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
4. Kwicky Koala<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/aKJj4ZP6SdY" width="420"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Holy shit! I bet you didn't remember this one, did you? </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
5. Ozzy and Drix </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/DVZExTWa_E8" width="420"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I have to admit, I kind of liked the movie too, but the series was in this case a lot better. And let's admit it, just like with the Magic Schoolbus, this show was quite clever. It presented how the human body functioned on a microscopic level in a way that was pretty damned fun to watch... </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
6. Cubix</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/1PJsIqdqMQA" width="420"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This one is one of my sister's favorites back when she was still around 7 years old - so yeah, it's a pretty recent toon, if you think about it. As you can see, it looks pretty lame now, but actually it was kind of fun... Weird, but fun. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
7. Arthur </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/7zkX6kfnWbk" width="420"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Yeah, this was a pretty good show, I have to admit that eve I watched it (I kind of watched cartoons for a looong time, telling everyone that it was because my sis watched them, but actually some of these I quite enjoyed). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
8. Marcelino Pan Y Vino </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/5TKCTWpT2wE" width="420"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
:D Oh yeah, I went there. This was pretty entertaining, even though it clearly had some religious bases - it was set in the time when little orphan boys were took in by different churches. This one ends up in a monastery and he manages to drive the brothers there almost insane with his antics. Oh, and if I remember correctly his magic power was that he was able to understand animals... </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
9. BraceFace</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/rQNBebqqDv8" width="560"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
A fun cartoon for teenagers everywhere, BraceFace managed to catch most of our attention (even if it was only hidden... I know we were all embarassed at one point or another for actually liking this). </div>

Yes, I'm done with the book and now I can follow the show without any problems... that is, unless they fuck it up even more than they did until now.<br />
<a name='more'></a>All right, I know that until now most TV series that were made following King's books turned out to be crap, but still... I expected a lot better from the writers - mostly because there is just so many things going on in the book that it could've made one hell of a good show (possibly rivaling GoT).<br />
<br />
But before I go into the stuff that I find stupid in the show, let me say a few things about the book.<br />
<br />

/></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
It starts off with the dome snapping into place, killing a whole bunch of people. I know it sounds disturbing, but I love it when a book starts out what some people might consider the middle of the story, without any proper introduction of the location or characters. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Just plain old "this guy is cut in half" and "that person explodes in an airplane". It keeps things interesting, and what's more, it keeps readers interested in what will come. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I also have to tell you guys that there are a LOT more characters in the book than in the show - at least for now, and most of them are so well written that you don't even want to know what their true back-stories are (indeed, I realized that King left most of the back-stories of the characters shady at the best, and he still managed to keep me interested.) </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Oh and just to mention how awesome King is, I loved how he managed to pull some strings between now only his own works so far (Shawshank comes to mind), but also to modern media and culture (Twilight, Harry Potter, House, etc.). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
All right, but let me get to the point of this post, namely running the show against the book (probably unfair, but still a fun fight). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
And let me start with my favorite character in the book, Rusty. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="225" src="http://www.cinemablend.com/images/sections/55625/_1368471193.jpg" width="400" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The book has Rusty still under the dome, right along with his family, Linda, and their two kids, the J's. They also have a pretty damn amazing puppy, who manages to warn the parents every time the kids have a seizure. Now, in the movie for some reason they made Rusty a fireman (in the book he is actually a nurse, and he basically ends up running the hospital.) And he is a big part of the story, too. Thus, I don't understand why they left him and the kids out of it, and especially why they made Linda such a stupid little bitch (like, seriously, I just want to shake her until she realizes that not everything is as it seems). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Linda, in the book has some moments where she doesn't know whose side she should stand on, but eventually she realizes that her husband is right about Barbie. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
All right, on to another character. Junior, namely, who in the book is quite an amazingly written person, even trough all his crazyness. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="269" src="http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/junior-rennie-under-the-dome.jpg" width="400" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
In the show, Junior is just some half-insane kid (he reminds me eerily of young Voldemort, actually). He is really annoying, and it's frustrating to see that they failed to mention the fact that he is suffering from an advanced brain tumor, and no one actually knows it until it's too late. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
As I said, King wrote him amazingly - you can actually see how he goes more and more insane as the tumor grows, and you can pretty much understand why he does the awful things he does (kills a pair of girls - probably even committing necrophilia, tho that's only alluded to in the book, thank god-, he helps his father commit murder, he frames for said murders Barbie, and then he proceeds to kill a bunch of cops in an attempt to kill Barbie, with whom he develops a bad obsession). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Jumping to the next... Phil Bushey. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="273" src="http://wwwimage.cbsstatic.com/base/files/styles/596xh/public/103037_3388b_0.jpg" width="400" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Phil, who in the book is a junkie, who left his wife and their baby to make drugs for Jim, and who is not at all supposed to be a DJ on a cool radio station (a radio station which is actually supposed to be all about the Jesus stuff, too. A topic I will get back to in a bit). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Phil in the book ends up to be the guy who kills almost every single person in the city, and he goes out with quite a big explosion too. I kind of liked his character too - the guy is portrayed as a serious drug addict, with increasing paranoia and he ends up believing that he is something akin to Jesus or one of the apocalyptic angels. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The show has him as a boring DJ, and nothing else much (possibly the part where he is married to Dodee, which is wrongwrongwrong. Mostly, because in the book Dodee is the other girl who is killed by Junior, right along with Angie, and none of these girls should have stuck around for so long. Also, Angie is really fucking annoying in the show, and I want her dead immediately.)</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Oh and this reminds me - the book also doesn't have lesbian couples with children in it, tho it DOES allude to homosexuality quite a few times - in relations to Phil's wife, actually, and when Phil dies he also goes out with his mouth attached to another man's, tho that might only be simple comfort in my opinion and nothing sexual. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
And the lesbian couple reminds me that their rebel daughter, Norrie, is supposed to be in the town for a looooong time. She has a good mom and an amazing grandfather, and she is Joe's and Bennie's best friend. And the trio of them are quite important once again, because they are the ones who practically figure out a way to escape from everything. Yeah, Joe is a genius. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The show in this part at least is good- I like the guy who plays Joe, and his character is almost unchanged - well, besides the fact that in the book he also has his mother around, with his father trapped outside of the dome. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Dale Barbara, or barbie on the other hand makes me frustrated once again. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="260" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Je6oxgfGdHk/UcXEc2WgUDI/AAAAAAAABbg/ezUeTy2zQnw/s400/Mike+Vogel+as+Dale+Barbie+Barbara+in+CBS+adaptation+of+Stephen+Kings+Under+the+Dome.jpg" width="400" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The book pinned him as the possible hero of the story, even though he doesn't really do much, ends up in a jail and has to be rescued by other people. It's actually quite funny in the end that the person who is supposed to be "fighting for the light" is actually pretty useless. Well... Not that useless, actually, when it comes to inspiring some people to believe in him and realize what's going on, but otherwise he doesn't do much. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
What had me reeling in the show, tho, was that it started out with him burying a guy who he killed- when the book doesn't mention anything like that at all. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Sure, there is a highly important part to his back-story where his misery at being a part of beating up some Iraqi people (he was a high standing guy in the military, and possibly a torturer) ends up being one of the reasons why the Dome is lifted. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The show instead treats him like a bounty haunter until now, which in my eyes seems to be wrong. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Which brings me to Julia. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="220" src="http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130404021923/stephenking/images/f/f8/JuliaShumway.jpg" width="400" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Julia is supposed to be older than Barbie (I believe there are 13 years between them). Julia in the book is not married- she has instead an amazing dog (and King once again demonstrates how awesome a writer he is by actually making a dog's point of view interesting - which shouldn't really be a surprise considering Cujo). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Julia is the person who stands behind Barbie 100%, even when he is framed for murders, and for burning down her home and office (she is a reporter, who inherited her grandfather's stuff and everything she has is burned down to bits by Junior, who then tries to make it look like Barbie is at fault for that too). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
And as I said, there is no Peter Shumway in the book (who will apparently be the reason why Julia will end up betraying Barbie's trust, or something - I don't see anything else good coming out of this, really). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Then, there is Big Jim, who is also pretty fucking amazing. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="219" src="http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130404022607/stephenking/images/4/41/JimRennie.jpg" width="400" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Until now, both in series and the book. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
He is the leader of the town, although he is not the first selectman (he prefers leading from the background). He is a politician trough and trough, he is rotten to the core and he is ready to do anything to ensure his standing. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Jim commits murder on quite a few different occasions (and he is helped by Junior). He manages to be one step ahead of most of his people (people he always calls idiots and sheep), he is practically a drug lord, and he knows how to keep up appearances. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Fun fact here - I loved how King dealt with him in the end. Jim didn't go out with a bang but with a whimper (he is so rotten, he doesn't even deserve a good old fight-it-all-out with any of the heroes). It. was. amazing. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
And besides these highly important characters in the book, there are quite a few key people too - tho I won't mention them now because this post is getting too long as it is (and why should I spoil everything for those who want to read the book in the future?). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
What I wanted to discuss here before I close up this post is the Dome. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
First off, I was shocked that in the show they made the whole thing in such a way that it won't let sounds trough - even tho, apparently water can, to some degree. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Yes, King managed to write a pretty good story from the environmentalist point of view too - which is damned important (pollution sticking to the dome, making the outside world dark and change its color. Temperature being a lot more high under it than on the outside, rain not getting in, etc.). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Thus, I don't understand how sounds would not be able to travel trough, when water can. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
And this part of it should be pretty important, considering that people DO communicate trough the dome with each other (like how one soldier comforts Ollie, a little kid whose brother dies when he tries to shoot trough the doom and the bullet pangs back in his own face, and who later on discovers both his mother and his father committed suicide). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Also, what about the whole air thing? It can clearly get trough to some degree, and this turns out to be the thing that saves the people in the end, when there are huge fans set up on the outside to provide a little oxygen for those who are in. Soooo, if air and water can get trough, why did they decide to keep the sounds out? It's thoroughly frustrating, and doesn't make any god damn sense (it's not like they couldn't communicate with written language, so it doesn't make any sense, really). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
But I digress. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I'm also not going to tell you guys how the dome was put there (I'm actually quite interested in finding out how they will solve that part of the problem, but let me tell you, it was pretty unexpected and funnily enough, damned simple. Which makes it quite brilliant, actually. Occam's razor, people. Occam's razor.) </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Ooooh, and I almost forgot a few more things. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
First off, I wanted to remind you guys to keep an eye open on all the religious parts of this. I love how King manages to somehow include religion in most of his books - and most of the time religious people turn out to be fanatics (like Jim, and Phil, and the druggie priest, of course...). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
By the way, did you guys notice that King has a LOT of book that deal with people somehow being shut into a little space, or being the only survivors in an apocalyptic world, and how they would deal with it? </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
He manages to get under the skin of so many different characters, and makes me love even the evil ones. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Oh, how I love King :) </div>

I won't post too many of them, just to take off the edge and get you going until tomorrow...<br />
<a name='more'></a>But I felt that I needed to show you guys these videos, purely for the entertainment value.<br />
<br />
1. Taylor Swift Caption Fail<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/7MuDgfX9C2w" width="560"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Rhett and Link have a bunch of songs of this kind, so feel free to check out their channel if you dig this one.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
As the video says, they sing popular songs, let YouTube 's captioning to see what they can get out of it - and then sing only the captions. I find it pretty damned funny, thought you might like it too :P </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
2. A Character I Used to Know</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/ZXSSBu9uKrM" width="560"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The ease with which GRRM kills off his characters is becoming an ongoing internet joke, and why shouldn't it, right? It IS actually funny to realize how much you can come to love a not existent human being (Or even animals, for that matter). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
3. Game of Thrones theme (ska version) </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/3Ei_36wQjaQ" width="560"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
While we are talking about Game of Thrones stuff, I thought I will include this. I got the link to it from Boti (Who somehow always manages to find the weirdest songs out there). And let me tell you, this one is weird and amazing at the same time. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I have no idea what it is about it - I can tell you that I don't like this style of music AT ALL (tho I had my fair share of it on weddings and other parties around here...) </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
4. Alphabetical 26 Genre Song</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/g3GhDWMb_3E" width="560"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This started out as a challenge for the guys, and they got quite a popularity after they released the video. I find they did a great job of presenting music genres (of the few genres I know, that is, because there are quite a few in it that are really new to me). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Anyways, what do you guys think is the best genre out of these? </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
5. We Are The World of Warcraft </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/8nk9XoiWGQg" width="560"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
To close up this list, here's a song for all the RPG players out there (I would guess even for those who don't play WoW, like me). Still, they got Felicia Day to help out with it, so Kudos! </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
And with that on mind, I'm off to play Neverwinter (yeah, yeah...). </div>

Yeah, we skipped the cat since we didn't want all hell loose in the house, and now we have a bunch of fishes, a budgie, a dwarf hamster and a Yorkshire!<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
She is still really afraid, barely moving, and she stinks like no tomorrow, but she is damn cute, and she will be awesome once sis returns with all kinds of doggy stuff for her. (It is actually hers since mom promised her one if she passed her exams on the first try.)<br />
<br />
We don't have a name for her yet, and I guess I will have to mostly stay out of her way before I get attached to her... you know, for when I leave.<br />
<br />
Anyways, I made a few pics of her - as I said, she really needs to be taken care of, but hey... for now we are just glad to have something new to care for (boy, I will really have to get my own house with lots and lots of animals in the future... I guess I have my next goal!)<br />

I'm really, really tired of this shit place I am in at this moment, and I freakin' want to leave.<br />
<a name='more'></a>I've been trying to apply for jobs for a while now, and although I know that the job market is awful, I still didn't get ANY replies, not even a "fuck you for wasting our time".<br />
<br />
I swear to god, if I don't find anything by the end of August, I'm going to pack up and live on the fucking streets or something.<br />
<br />
Yeah. I feel trapped for some reason, and I guess it was my own making. I just have to look around me to see all my ex-classmates and friends have successful lives, some of them having their own firm or just working abroad... and I'm sitting here feeling sorry for myself.<br />
<br />
All. The. Fucking. Time.<br />
<br />
Not sure really why, because I pretty much have everything and there are probably millions of people who would kill for this kind of life, but still.<br />
<br />
I'm either depressed or angry all the time, and being asked what's my problem every minute is not helping either.<br />
<br />
I get angry at every little thing...<br />
<br />
Dad asks me to peal potatoes? I'm fucking angry. Mom asks me to look at something on her computer? I fucking flip out.<br />
<br />
It's stupid, and I'm unreasonable, I know. But I also know that sticking around here won't help me or anyone else at all. Thus, I have been looking for jobs in the UK.<br />
<br />
I always wanted to check that place out, and I think now will be the time. Sure, it will probably be scary to go off on my own - since all my life my family supported me-, but I have to do this.<br />
<br />
I just have to be alone for a while, make stupid decisions for myself - and know that it was all me, and it's not just the people around me who are idiots.<br />
<br />
I want to fall in bed at 9 PM, totally exhausted from work, but knowing that in the weekend I have all the money I would want, and I could do anything, and I could go anywhere.<br />
<br />
I want to be alone and selfish and a bastard.<br />
<br />
I want to learn how to be a fucking bastard to anyone out there, because no matter how surprising this might sound to some people - they have no idea how much I hate them. I generally keep my mouth shut. Mom taught me that I have to be patient and nice, but I don't want to be that anymore.<br />
<br />
It didn't help me up until now, did it? (Besides, the only time I actually landed a job on my own without any help from other people was when I sent an openly hostile email to them. Apparently it works. Now I just have to learn how to do it face to face, not only trough the computer)<br />
<br />
<br />Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10272450019968586919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6372962320814876298.post-50644348441891668082013-07-08T12:18:00.000+03:002013-07-08T12:18:38.284+03:00...can tell you guys today is that I have an amazing sister! I've been in stitches all night and today morning, waiting to find out how my sis did on her first big exams.<br />
<a name='more'></a>As you probably know already, she just finished her 12th grade and managed to graduate without a problem - but there was another jump she had to make.<br />
<br />
We call it the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romanian_Baccalaureate">Baccalaureate. </a> Or, in Hungarian "Érettségi", which you can kind of translate into "proof of maturity". Or something of that account.<br />
<br />
Anyways, she told us that she had problems with her Romanian written test, so we were all a bit worried that she won't pass and will have to repeat it in the fall, but alas, she made it!<br />
<br />
Soooo.<br />
<br />
I just wanted to say that I am - we are all - very proud of her, and may she do good on all upcoming tests in her life, be them any kind!<br />
<br />
Congrats, sis, you're the best!!!!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10272450019968586919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6372962320814876298.post-56989131508286615482013-07-05T22:52:00.000+03:002013-07-05T22:52:02.521+03:00...watched today was Despicable Me 2. It was a pretty damn good movie - one that we were waiting for quite a loooong time, actually.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/HwXbtZXjbVE" width="560"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The minions are worth everything in it, even though the storyline wasn't as fantastically original as I hoped for - and I can also say that Steve Carell is probably one of the best comedians out there right now. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The story starts out with little Agnes celebrating her birthday, and later on Gru is recruited to help catch a new villain who wants to take over the world - seeing how he was also one before and he is supposed to know how a villain thinks. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Of course, the whole thing is then mixed together with Nefario leaving him to work for the enemy, and his oldest daughter having a crush on a boy - who, as clichés generally go, is the son of the villain. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Oh, and let's not forget the other story that hangs in it - where everyone wants to set Gru up with a woman (after all, the kids need a mother blah blah blah). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Sooo. Yeah. It was a bit over-complicated in my opinion. I mean, I think they should've stuck to one or two of these storylines, because this way it was just too hurried and it kind of seemed like they ended it at a part where I still wanted to find out more about how different things turned out. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Anyways, I heard that they are making a whole minion movie now, so I'm kind of looking forward to that. I just hope that they won't fall down on the other side of the proverbial horse, because when it comes to spin-offs, we could generally say that there is rarely a good one. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
But, all in all it was a pretty good movie, I'm glad I checked it out, and I'm pretty sure that kids would love it. The minions are funny, Agnes is adorable, and the other characters are all kind of lovable too. So, yeah. Definitely check it out if you can. </div>

<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
<br />
Ágota told me that there is a nice place not too far away from where they live, so I took the opportunity to visit it. I admit, I nearly feinted when I finally got up to the top of the hill - we actually decided to go up around five o'clock, believing that it won't be THAT hot outside.<br />
<br />
Well, we were freakin' wrong.<br />
<br />
But anyways, it was still nice to take a look at the city from up there. I don't think I ever stopped up there to appreciate the view - and I live in this city.<br />
<br />
Anyways, don't let me talk your head off, here are the pics we took.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Fucking finally.<br />
<a name='more'></a>Yesterday I presented my dissertation - which means that I'm officially done with my studies. Thank the gods - and I hope I will never, ever have to go trough the stress of another exam again. (I swear, I nearly pissed myself yesterday)<br />
<br />
And, guess what? This leaves me hanging with nothing much to do but to send out CVs and wait for a reply. And meanwhile, I can generally surf the net for stuff...<br />
<br />
Of course I started on the search immediately today, and to my horror I realized that I actually missed a new dlc for The Walking Dead game (and didn't check out the last two comics either). Holy crap!<br />
<br />
And do you know what this means? It means that I just had to check out a few sites that have "upcoming games" written on them. Just in case.<br />
<br />
There are a whole bunch of things that people are probably looking forward to (as far as I could see most of them shooters, which I don't give a fuck about). And thus, I will leave out the ones that seem like boring, repetitive crap to me, and present to you guys what I will love to play. Yeah. Here we go.<br />
<br />
1. Dragon Age Inquisition. FUCK YEAH<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/rh8v3Et4tGE" width="560"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I have a feeling that I will somewhat disappointed in this one, but I've played Dragon Age Origins and 2 a bunch of times already, so I wouldn't miss this one for the world. The trailer they showed us seems epic - especially because they are bringing back Morrigan (Oh dear lord, yes!) and also Varric (probably the only good character in 2). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Hopefully EA and BioWare will come around and actually listen to us about what we want our games to be like, and that they learned from the mistakes they made in the sequel. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The only thing we can know about this game at this point is that it will focus on some major catastrophe (I bet it will be Morrigan's demon baby who finally starts the war between the Mages and the Templars), and they will apparently bring back the part to the game where your choices actually shape the story. Also, the game will be open-world, something I'm not too sure about (I kind of hated open world games up until now, but I hope I will be able to not focus on my hate for them when it comes to this game). The devs also promise us strong characters, challenging combats and difficult choices (oh, I wish they will be at least as difficult as the choices were in the Walking Dead games. I swear those affected me emotionally...) </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Sadly, they pushed back the game to fall 2014 - which is, a looooong time to wait (but I guess it will give me enough time to get a good enough computer system that will let me play it comfortably. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
2. Fortnite </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/2GSfjeYVpkQ" width="560"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Sooooo. This looks fun as hell. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Apparently this game is the first game ever that will use a new Unreal Engine - which is a pretty big deal, since a new engine means that future games will more than likely be made with it too. It will have an interesting gameplay, meaning scavenging while the sun is out and defending your fort while it's dark. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I'm guessing they got the inspiration from "Don't Starve" (Do you guys remember that game? I told you about it once...) and Minecraft. Duh. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The devs say that the game will allow players to gather new materials, using the limited tools you start out with. Then, much like Minecraft, you will use these materials to build stuff- but they promise us that it will be a lot more complex than Minecraft. And, of course, the game will also have combat, where you will have to defend your structures from the creepy crawlies. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
3. Broken Age </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/BWM4R5JsakE" width="560"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Adventure games are not dead! Not yet, at least. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Sadly, video game companies don't really see them as games that bring in huge amounts of money, so they rarely ever found them. BUT! Tim Schafer here (probably the best known game dev ever...) thus started a Kickstarter campaign where he proposed to gather 400.000 dollars for this game. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
He got instead 3.42 million dollars. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I guess there ARE a huge amount of people out there who are bored out of all the stupid gaming stuff companies make nowadays, and they were all ready for something that's a bit different, and not German (nowadays they are probably the only ones who still make successful adventure games). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The game will be point-and-click (got to love those), and it will be about a boy and a girl who want to break the traditions in their lives. The girl apparently lives in the past, while the boy in a future world, thus we will be able to control both of them. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
By solving puzzles we will have to save the girl from being sacrificed to a monster in her village, and save the boy from living a totally lonely life on his spaceship. So yeah, this will definitely be a good story when it comes out. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
4. Project Eternity </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe frameborder="0" height="360" src="http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/obsidian/project-eternity/widget/video.html" width="480"> </iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Yes, as you can see this is from their Kickstarter page. Just in case you were wondering. They pledged for a goal of 1.100.000 dollars, and instead were backed with 3.986.929 dollars. Because when you have something good to give, people WILL pay for it. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This will be a fantasy RPG, aimed at mature players. It will have a great story, great dialogues and characterization. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Of course, it will be party-based and tactical. It will be two-dimensional, and freakin' hand-drawn, which is always appreciated in this world. Your party will have up to five companions, all of them found while exploring the world, but to keep it interesting, it won't be a Dungeons and Dragons type of world or combat - it will be something totally original. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Also, the devs promised that the main character will be fully customizable (I always spend looooong minutes on customizing my characters, whenever it's a possibility), and just like in Dragon Age: Origins, the player's choice of class, race, subrace, culture, traits, skills and also appearance will give the character their own personal background.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
And, as I said it will be aimed at MATURE players, which means that the game will bring up some serious topics for all of us. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
5. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/VH8SA3pjN1k" width="560"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This won't be a long game - but apparently it will be something worth to be checked out. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
There isn't much info on it yet, but here is what we already know. It will be a co-op action-adventure. It will be set in a classic fairy tale world. And, as you probably guessed it will focus on the two brothers. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Their story is simple, but rarely ever used in games - their father is sick, and the brothers go out in the world to find the legendary Water of Life. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
As you can see, it looks pretty damn good, and I kind of like the idea behind it (it's rare to find a game with an original backstory - nowadays almost all the games focus on the idea of revenge or proving how big of a man you are), so I will definitely keep my eyes on this one. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
6. Gone Home </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/IVE-__EWB0M" width="560"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
There will be no monsters jumping out at you at every dark corner so you can dispose of them in this game. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Instead, the whole story focuses on you exploring an abandoned house to learn about the people who used to live in it. Yes, that's it. And it's pretty damned amazing. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Explorations games are freaking rare (and I hope they will become a lot more popular). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
As you can see in the video the environment will be totally amazing, and you will be able to interact with it a whole lot. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Okay, for some people out there this might not be enough, but I think that the mystery behind it will keep it rolling until you get to the end of it. After all, people are curious - even about the most mundane things -, and this game will make you really, really curious about what happened. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
And come on, admit it... you are curious about it even now, aren't you? </div>
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10272450019968586919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6372962320814876298.post-31433489890339108872013-07-01T13:03:00.000+03:002013-07-01T13:03:06.328+03:00...was watching today was a video about the most intelligent animals. I know, I already talked about this topic before, but this time I'm going to slightly alter it - instead of talking about intelligent animals in general, how about we focus on the animals who can mimic human speech?<br />
<a name='more'></a>First, there are the obvious ones... like birds.<br />
<br />
Most of them only imitate human speech, but of course they lack the ability to actually understand what they are saying - but, as always there are some exceptions.<br />
<br />
Of course you remember Alex.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/VZ2j1jOwAYU" width="420"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Dr. Irene Pepperberg researched parrots, and this African Grey was certainly the most intelligent bird of all of them. Alex could actually assemble words out of letters - he could read and spell. And he voiced his opinions too. For example whenever he got tired of frustrated, he would ask to be put back to his cage and left alone. You can actually see that at the end of this video too. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Also, in case you were wondering, parrots are not the only birds who will mimic human speech (even if they don't understand it). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
There is for example the Hill Mynah bird - you probably never heard of this one before. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/_CoxnUe49ZA" width="420"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Of course there are ravens and crows who can also imitate people. Like Mischief here (raven), and this pet crow who sounds eerily human, not like a budgie...</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/yFXU7o0fYII" width="420"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/QUjN_5detq8" width="420"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Then there are lyrebirds, who can imitate ANY sounds that strike their fancy (including chainsaws and car alarms), mockingbirds and passerines. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
But enough about the birds already. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Here are the more interesting ones. (And let's start with pets!) </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Dogs... Yeah, sure, not as clear as birds, but some dogs can imitate sounds we make... Like... check Mishka out, who can apparently imitate 12 words. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/2c8MMiytwNs" width="420"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
And he is not alone with it. There are a whole bunch of videos going around the internet nowadays with dogs imitating us. Well, I guess it IS the best form of flattery. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
So. If dogs can do it, how about cats? Yep... </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Czl1yIezrjQ" width="420"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I know, I know, it sounds hilarious. But just imagine, if they could further evolve into perfecting this... Are we ready for our cat overlords? </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
And the list doesn't end here. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Harbor seals can do it too... like Hoover here: </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/prrMaLrkc5U" width="420"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Or elephants! </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
They imitate voices by blowing air in their mouths using their trunk. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The following video is in Korean (and the elephant is also from Korea), so you probably won't understand much (not like I do), but I can tell you this, the elephant can apparently imitate the Korean words for "good", "no", "sit down", "hello" and "lie down". </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/3kaHub6sTiM" width="420"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
After all the elephant paintings now they can talk? Are they going to take over our entertainment industry soon? </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
And, of course the video that gave me the idea of today's post... </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
A Beluga whale. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/14MJXC0h4TU" width="560"></iframe></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
His name is NOC, and his talent was discovered when a diver came out of his tank and asked who told him to get out. Apparently the whale's mumbling made him think that someone is talking from outside of the tank, and it sounded to him like "out". It's pretty surprising, because beluga whales don't sound like this at all - they use higher frequencies for their vocalizations. Which meant that NOC had to practically alter how his voice sounded, and he did this all on his own, without being encouraged. </div>
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10272450019968586919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6372962320814876298.post-55716181097346539002013-06-30T19:25:00.001+03:002013-06-30T19:25:30.983+03:00..just came to think about is what are the origins of role playing game characters. I mean, come on... everyone loves a good old role playing game - even though they might seem repetitive and boring after a while (for some people).<br />
<a name='more'></a>And, of course every single one of us who played a game of this kind generally knows what they are getting into (the three basics - melee, wizard, healer -, and everything else that was added to the games shortly after, be them something totally original -ex. rogue, which might be considered the fourth basic, actually- or something that's just a combination of already existing classes - ex. paladin). If not, here's a damned long guide to what you should expect...<br />
Oh, and before someone butts in, I want to specify that this will be related to fantasy classes, not shooters or sci-fi or anything like that (those are based on fantasy classes anyway).<br />
<br />
All right, let's start with the melee classes. There are tons of fighter classes (also called warriors), each of them with different things to focus on. Your fighter basically being the "tank" of your group - which means that they will be the ones who will outright attack the enemy and generally control and distract it from the real damage dealer's (generally wizards - DD) work. Of course, because they will suffer most of the blows, they are the characters who will also have huge repair bills when it comes to their equipment, and they will depend largely on the healers to keep them alive.<br />
<br />
But of course, there are different varieties of fighters, and as I said they do different things.<br />
<br />
1. Barbarian or berserker<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="211" src="http://cdn2.gamefront.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/berserker_gear.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://cdn2.gamefront.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/berserker_gear.jpg"><span style="font-size: xx-small;">source</span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Yes, they are based on Conan the Barbarian - they were only introduced to games in 1985, so they are relatively new. They are not as tactical as other fighter classes, but they can be really useful once it's time for some serious damage. Their main thing is that they can tap into their rage, which will give them huge bonuses to their strength, constitution (basically how much health they have), and their resistance to magic. </div>
<br />
2. The knight<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="320" src="http://demonssouls.wdfiles.com/local--files/classes/knight-scan.jpg" width="212" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;"><a href="http://demonssouls.wdfiles.com/local--files/classes/knight-scan.jpg">source</a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Again, these are obvious - the class comes from the middle ages. They are experienced fighters, who wear pretty damn good armor, and thus they are considered to be more defensive than offensive. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
3. The swashbuckler</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="320" src="http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii64/caseythepirate/Pirate%20Art/PirateWoman.jpg" width="286" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii64/caseythepirate/Pirate%20Art/PirateWoman.jpg"><span style="font-size: xx-small;">source</span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This class doesn't really have anything to do with pirates, actually. They were named in the 16th century first, and they were just noisy, boastful swordsmen, who got their names because of the swishing sound their sword made, and the "buckler", which was a little shield strapped to their hands. Of course, borrowing from history, in role playing games this class is generally the one who resembles a rogue more closely than anything. They are fighters who wear light or no armor, who are very agile and prefer skill and not strength when it comes to fighting. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
4. The paladin or holy warrior</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="320" src="http://faithandsurvival.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Paladin.jpg" width="232" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;"><a href="http://faithandsurvival.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Paladin.jpg">source</a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The first mention of them was in the 16th century, and they were generally talked about in terms of very chivalrous heroes (think the Knights of the Round Table), or as the leaders of armies that supported Frederick V in the Thirty Years War. As a character class paladins are literally the knights in shining armor - they only function when they can do something "good". They have white magic powers, and they have a healer side to them (they are devoted to their gods, who give them these powers). Thus, whenever there are evil supernatural characters around, it is best to bring a paladin along - they will smite the shit out of demons. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
5. Death Knight, blackguard, antipaladin or the dark knight. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="320" src="http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20090209212242/wowwiki/images/3/34/Deathknight2.jpg" width="283" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20090209212242/wowwiki/images/3/34/Deathknight2.jpg"><span style="font-size: xx-small;">source</span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This one doesn't really have a real life counterpoint, unless we take into account that they are like the evil version of a paladin (thus antipaladin). Instead of focusing on white and benevolent magic, they generally have dark and necromantic skills. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
6. The dragon knight, or dragoon </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="240" src="http://cdn.browserbasedgames.com/image/d/webgame-dragon-knight-1/dragon-knight-1.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://cdn.browserbasedgames.com/image/d/webgame-dragon-knight-1/dragon-knight-1.jpg"><span style="font-size: xx-small;">source</span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Originally dragoons were a type of mounted infantry. The only dragon they had to deal with was their firearm (which WAS called a dragon, because it was decorated with a dragon's head). Funnily enough back in the 17th century, when the guy who "invented"' these dragoons learned his profession in Hungary, and the Netherlands, and created an "armee volante", which means "flying army". They were kind of like a cheap and weak version of cavalry. Now, in games a dragoon is generally just a fighter who is specialized to hunt, kill or own a dragon (or who is powered by a dragon). They have abilities or equipment that mimic a dragon - high jump, fly, fire breathing etc. Don't you love it when reality meats fantasy? </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
7. Weapon master, kensai, or samurai. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="256" src="http://www.dandwiki.com/w/images/thumb/3/3d/Red_samurai_by_unknown.jpg/270px-Red_samurai_by_unknown.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;"><a href="http://www.dandwiki.com/w/images/thumb/3/3d/Red_samurai_by_unknown.jpg/270px-Red_samurai_by_unknown.jpg">source</a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Believe it or not, samurais ARE used in fantasy games. I guess I don't really have to talk about what a samurai is - everyone knows it (but just in case, they were a military nobility of medieval Japan...) In games these weapon masters are the people who barely wear any armor, which gives them high speed and mobility. They often also specialize on exotic weapons like the kama, or khopesh or kukri, etc. They are also the class who are looked upon as mercenaries. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
8. Warlord, general, tactician or marshal</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="179" src="http://www.dandwiki.com/w/images/e/e0/Warlord_2.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.dandwiki.com/w/images/e/e0/Warlord_2.jpg"><span style="font-size: xx-small;">source</span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This one is the last melee class guys, so bare with me. Warlords in real life are people who have both military and civil control over an area. They were generally associated with mercenary companies - in fact, they were the leaders of them, with armies of people loyally serving only these warlords. And yes, they are probably still around to these days. Now, when it comes to role playing warlords are also leaders, with amazing tactics. They are generally used as damage dealers, but they also buffing and healing capabilities to enhance the abilities of those with whom he is in a group with. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
And now... now we step a little further into the realm of magic! </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Now, magicians are really fucking amazing when it comes to dealing damage, and they are really, really different. Also, if you would ever like to try playing a magician (mage, wizard, sorcerer, witch, warlock, magi, magus, sage), you will have to know that they also really, really suck when it comes to direct combat. They can be killed in no time. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Obviously magicians are not something that you would come across in real life - at least not like this. Right? Well, let's see :D </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
1. Sorcerer </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="320" src="http://www.ddo.com/sites/all/themes/ddo2/images/classes/wizard.png" width="283" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;"><a href="http://www.ddo.com/sites/all/themes/ddo2/images/classes/wizard.png">source</a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Imagine Harry Potter kind of magicians here. Sorcerers are the magicians who are born with the ability to do magic (but unlike Harry Potter, they don't need to study it). Think innate talent, like some people born with the ability to do and understand great art. This might sound amazing - and it IS amazing when it comes to the spells they know (they can use those spells a lot better than any other magician class) -, but there is a downside too. Since they can not learn any new spells, they are generally stuck with what they have. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
2. Warlock or theurgist </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="320" src="http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20080702221153/wowwiki/images/6/6d/Elfwarlock.jpg" width="226" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20080702221153/wowwiki/images/6/6d/Elfwarlock.jpg"><span style="font-size: xx-small;">source</span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Warlocks are generally nasty. Think along the lines of people who will give up everything just for a single purpose. Like... signing a pact with the devil. Warlocks are pretty damn strong, and most of their magic comes from a higher spirit. Of course, there are pacts that will supply some with healing abilities, but those are rare. Most warlocks have spells that harm or destroy. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
3. Summoner, shaman or conjurer </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="320" src="http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/excerpt_ap_0327_9443.jpg" width="247" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;"><a href="http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/excerpt_ap_0327_9443.jpg">source</a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I generally love summoner classes, probably because I kind of like the thought of having my personal bodyguard... A conjurer could still be considered a warlock on some degree, if they get their abilities from a high spirit. As their name says, their main abilities are the summoning of different creatures who will then basically do whatever the conjurer wants them to do. In games these creatures are generally simple animals, like wolves or big spiders, but as the conjurer learns to control his own abilities, he will be able to summon more vicious animals to his side. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
4. Wizard </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="320" src="http://diablo3x.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/ss71.jpg" width="206" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;"><a href="http://diablo3x.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/ss71.jpg">source</a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Right. These can have a whole bunch of different names, so don't worry about it and simply say wizard- everyone will understand that. Wizards are kind of like the anti-sorcerers. So to say. Instead of them being born with magic, wizards will have to stick around dusty old libraries to study them for years on end. If I would have to imagine a wizard type person in real life, I would think along the lines of scriptorium monks. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
5. Red mage</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="320" src="http://i487.photobucket.com/albums/rr231/zacesilverblade/8-bit/83686-70788-red-mage_large.png" width="207" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;"><a href="http://i487.photobucket.com/albums/rr231/zacesilverblade/8-bit/83686-70788-red-mage_large.png">source</a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
When thinking about wizards you are probably imagining an old fart in your mind with a huge staff and a long beard. Right? Right. Well, red mages aren't too different from wizards - they also have to learn their magic. Since they are very open minded and versatile they will try to learn whatever they find interesting. This, of course can have a positive or a negative outcome. If they manage to stick to the magic that's actually useful, they will be pretty damn strong - they will be able to survive in many different situations. If they however lose track, they will become weak due to the lack of focus. After all, there is little more dangerous than half-learned theories. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
6. The blue mage </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="240" src="http://www.freewebs.com/lionsdoor/photos/Gallery/BlueMage%5B1%5D.jpeg" width="320" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;"><a href="http://www.freewebs.com/lionsdoor/photos/Gallery/BlueMage%5B1%5D.jpeg">source</a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Also known under the name of a mime or a mimic, these magicians don't sit around in a dusty tower all day long to stare at books. Instead they use their innate ability to learn in action - they will basically get a big variety of spells from all kinds of encounters with other magical creatures. Now, this can happen in two different way. Either they have a single "learning" spell which basically absorbs the one they want to know, either they will just have to see a spell performed in front of them to learn it. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
7. Necromancer </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="320" src="http://damnosa.files.wordpress.com/2011/12/necromancer.jpg" width="186" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;"><a href="http://damnosa.files.wordpress.com/2011/12/necromancer.jpg">source</a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Remember water bending? Think along those lines. Also, try to imagine crossing a water bender with a summoner... NOW we're getting there. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The necromantic magicians are probably the darkest wizard out there. They are generally obsessed with death and blood, although many times when it comes to actually playing a necromancer you will find that the story line will be turned into "not evil, just dark". Their best move is usually to summon or create undead armies - who are generally distinctly weak one by one, but when they attack in great numbers, can be a big problem. They are also generally the ones who have pretty good abilities over others - like weakening them, draining their strength or just generally cursing them. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
8. Elemental </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="212" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-TdyidP1XTEw/UVmNOXg3D8I/AAAAAAAAABM/UzjjUZ7N51E/s320/Elsword+4.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-TdyidP1XTEw/UVmNOXg3D8I/AAAAAAAAABM/UzjjUZ7N51E/s1600/Elsword+4.jpg">source</a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
These are nature wizards, who generally only focus on one, maybe two different elements in the never-ending elemental rock-paper-scissors game. I'm pretty sure that they came into existence as a response to alchemy (and people's obsession in the old times with fire/water/air/earth). They are pretty simple and straightforward, and I'm guessing there's probably nothing new that they could give after so many "kids who have different elemental abilities working together to save the world" movies and cartoons. Of course these kind of wizards generally have the ability to not only control the nature, but also somehow the enemy (for example freezing them so they can't attack, or using brambles to cage them in so they can't attack back, etc.) </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
9. Druids </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="180" src="http://api.ning.com/files/sOStUTCPGwstfqXl7KJ3zVG0tSYkD27qbrSWBs6185go*hdn0YN-gBrzSyd1C3tmU2TUpXVbzHxYEfbziDAFTUYF-Dc4b-9x/druid_by_edlid2zocxe.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;"><a href="http://api.ning.com/files/sOStUTCPGwstfqXl7KJ3zVG0tSYkD27qbrSWBs6185go*hdn0YN-gBrzSyd1C3tmU2TUpXVbzHxYEfbziDAFTUYF-Dc4b-9x/druid_by_edlid2zocxe.jpg">source</a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Again, one of my preferred classes when I have to choose. Druids are kind of like wizards, focused on nature magic. They often have a few elemental offense spells, a little ability to heal, and the best of all, the ability to morph into different animals or elemental spirits. When they DO morph, they also gain different skills, thus being able to participate even in melee fights to some degree. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
So, these are pretty much it. With the wizards that is. (How long is this post?????) </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Now we move over to the rogues! </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Rogues are generally the people with whom you probably don't want to mess in real life. thieves, assassins, gamblers, they are. And thus they are incredibly fun to play. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Rogues are also pretty varied when it comes to what you want them to do. They can be masters of stealth, lockpicking, setting up and disarming traps, and sneak attacks. They are also kind of bad when it comes to face-to-face fight, since they generally don't wear armor, but they can deal a huge amount of damage while they are sneaking up behind you. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
1. The thief </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="320" src="http://oyster.ignimgs.com/franchises/wiki/dragonica.ign.com/default/uploads/thumb/f/f5/Thief.jpg/200px-Thief.jpg" width="260" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;"><a href="http://oyster.ignimgs.com/franchises/wiki/dragonica.ign.com/default/uploads/thumb/f/f5/Thief.jpg/200px-Thief.jpg">source</a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Well duh, thieves were formed in the light of actual thieves. They are not very active when it comes to battle (they have low damage and even lower defense), but they are the masters when it comes to pick-pocketing. Of course, when it comes to fantasy games, this ability doesn't only mean stealing money and equipment. They can also steal experience. Yeah, they are that good. And thus, thieves are generally pretty damn wealthy. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
2. Assassin </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="320" src="http://0.tqn.com/d/compactiongames/1/0/f/j/1/assassins_creed_2_scr029.jpg" width="310" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://0.tqn.com/d/compactiongames/1/0/f/j/1/assassins_creed_2_scr029.jpg"><span style="font-size: xx-small;">source</span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
These are the more dangerous rogues. They don't give a fuck about stealing your stuff, they will just materialize out of nowhere and stab you until you are passed on. No more. Ceased to be. Expired and gone to meet your maker. Stiff. Bereft of life, resting in peace. Pushing the daisies. (should I go on?) And if they don't manage to cut your arteries with the first blow, they will definitely kill you anyway, because they are also masters at poisoning. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
3. The ninja</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="312" src="http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb206/dragons_rule_Dragon_Lover/ninja_anime_girl.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;"><a href="http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb206/dragons_rule_Dragon_Lover/ninja_anime_girl.jpg">source</a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
These are kind of similar to assassins. They are masters at stealth and backstabbing, they can even become invisible to increase evasion. And, to top it all off, they are also very good with throwing weapons like daggers and shurikens -so, yeah, they are not only deadly in close range, but also from far away. Generally speaking this class is the one that almost always ends up spoiling the game because in the end he will end up winning everything. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
4. The Shadow</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="239" src="https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRX0H7EeaSOssu9SnwlEXWUrHfGvyMhrHioLREK2agyR2KnAID_JA" width="320" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;"><a href="http://img413.imageshack.us/img413/9059/shot00586.jpg">source</a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Not THAT useful when not combined with other classes - the shadow's main capability is to blend in and evade. Tho, when really well focused on the evading skills, I've seen shadows actually winning games alone by just walking in the shadows, stealing the loot and never even engaging in any battle, because they went unnoticed. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
5. Scout </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="320" src="http://www.ddo.com/sites/all/themes/ddo2/images/classes/rogue.png" width="283" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;"><a href="http://www.ddo.com/sites/all/themes/ddo2/images/classes/rogue.png">source</a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
What could you possibly use a master of disguise and blending in for in a battle, eh? Well, since rogues are generally very good at gathering information (they are always the ones who will detect traps), combined with the fact that they can be pretty damned stealthy, it is generally a good strategy to send the scout in front of the team to get good info on the enemy. They are not too good when it comes to fighting (they are most of the time using bows and arrows), but they are really damn helpful if you are in a group. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
And that would be all about the rogues. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
What's next? </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Right. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The healers (and we will still not be done with classes!). Now, these dear people are generally of about four or five types. What's common on them is that they are always there to heal you, possibly resuscitate you, and also help you out with different blessings. Because yes, healers are almost always dependent on their gods and their faith - just like with the paladin, this is where they get their power from. They don't have a huge variety of spells, mostly because distracting a healer while he is doing his job is fatal. Yeah, like in real life. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
1. The priest, cleric, healer or white mage</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="240" src="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/71788" width="320" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;"><a href="http://www.tentonhammer.com/image/view/71788">source</a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Priests and clerics were once upon a time in our history looked upon as real healers. Of course, having their religion declare that a priest can never get blood on their hands made our medieval society turn towards barbers of all things. Thus, priests remain the sole healers of the "soul". In games priests are really damn squishy. About as easily killed as a wizard - they don't have armor, and have very little offensive abilities. They are only good for healing, and possibly when it comes to demons and the undead - even then, they generally "kill" them by using healing powers or blessings. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
2. The battle priest</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="261" src="http://www.aaronbmiller.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/AaronMiller_WarPriestOfThune.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;"><a href="http://www.aaronbmiller.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/AaronMiller_WarPriestOfThune.jpg">source</a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Imagine red cross nurses running around in a war, healing people, and occasionally handing out cans of whoop-ass to the enemy. Battle priests are badass. They are tough warriors - like, really experienced when it comes to healing people on the battlefield, and they will always carry some good blessed weapons. Although they might resemble a paladin in some ways, they are more focused on the healing and less on the fighting - but still, they will be able to survive a lot more than a simple priest. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
3. The witch doctor </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="183" src="http://cache.g4tv.com/ImageDb3/283903_S/diablo-3-beta-witch-doctor-guide.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;"><a href="http://cache.g4tv.com/ImageDb3/283903_S/diablo-3-beta-witch-doctor-guide.jpg">source</a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
See how many different cultures are represented in fantasy? Witch doctors are kind of like real life shamans - they worship all kinds of different gods, mostly inspired by nature, and thus they have more offensive natural spells than other priests. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
4. The templar</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="320" src="http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs12/f/2006/328/4/8/The_Black_Templar_by_kingmong.jpg" width="210" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;"><a href="http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs12/f/2006/328/4/8/The_Black_Templar_by_kingmong.jpg">source</a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Based on the Knights Templar, this particular class is like a mix between an assassin and a healer. They are the dirty little people who do the bidding of the church, mainly go around killing heretics and covering up conspiracies. They are weaker in battle than a Paladin, not as good a healer as a priest and not as stealthy as a rogue, but they have all kinds of skill that can get them out (or in) of trouble. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
And now... now come the rangers (and only one more category left after that!). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Rangers can usually come under the name of hunter too. They generally live in forests, and are very capable of surviving in the wild. I suspect you automatically imagined Legolas and other LOTR fighting elves, with bows and arrows - and you are not wrong in this. Rangers are good archers, but most of them can fight also with swords. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
1. Sniper </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="284" src="http://www.ffcompendium.com/jobimages/11-ranger-a.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;"><a href="http://www.ffcompendium.com/jobimages/11-ranger-a.jpg">source</a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Of course, this being good old fashioned fantasy we couldn't really have people running around with guns, could we? Thus, snipers have to stick to their archery skills. Which makes them pretty damned efficient when it comes to high range fighting. And since they are damned good at it, they also developed special arrows that can slow or poison enemies. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
2. Bow and blade </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="320" src="http://8wayrun.com/attachments/leon1-jpg.30740/" width="239" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;"><a href="http://8wayrun.com/attachments/leon1-jpg.30740/">source</a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
As I said before, most rangers can handle melee fights too - after all, what good does it do to not be able to attack back when someone is cutting you? These rangers are also pretty close to fighters, letting loose one or two arrow shots while the enemy approaches and then quickly switching to the good old-fashioned fistfight. Wars are not always won with ranged weapons... </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
3. Beastmaster </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="177" src="http://img1.mmo.mmo4arab.com/rift/images/class/class_beastmaster02.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;"><a href="http://img1.mmo.mmo4arab.com/rift/images/class/class_beastmaster02.jpg">source</a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Since these classes generally live in woody, wild areas, you didn't think that they would live wild beasts alone, did you? Just like when it comes to general hunters, beastmasters can tame their own animals, and thus control them. These animals can attack the enemy and engage them in a melee fight, while they can heal the animals. Kind of like having a personal tank. And while the pet rushes forward, they can also stick to the background and attack with bows and arrows. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
4. Trapper </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="320" src="http://elwiki.net/wiki/images/thumb/TrappingRanger.png/420px-TrappingRanger.png" width="252" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://elwiki.net/wiki/images/thumb/TrappingRanger.png/420px-TrappingRanger.png"><span style="font-size: xx-small;">source</span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
If you have a rogue that can find traps, there must be a class that actually places them. Well, in come the trappers - after all, it's part of the hunting package. Trappers are not very good in fights, but they can stealthily arrange that the enemy is defeated anyway. Yes, by planing ambushes and placing all kinds of different traps. They are generally not that good of a class when you are playing a fast-paced action-heavy game (it generally takes time to place the traps, and it's not as efficient as just blasting the enemy with a few arrows), but on paper they are pretty useful. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
5. Magical ranger</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="320" src="http://dreamworlds.ru/uploads/posts/2009-06/1245846008_silva-1.jpg" width="213" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: xx-small;"><a href="http://dreamworlds.ru/uploads/posts/2009-06/1245846008_silva-1.jpg">source</a></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The last ranger class is a mix between the sniper and the elemental wizard. They are generally focused on enchanting their bows with elemental magic that slow, disable, freeze or burn the enemy, and they are also very adapt at using trick arrows (ex- "net arrows" that stop enemies from moving). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Rare classes are our last category. Now, these are pretty well know also, but they are rarely ever used because they can be pretty useless in some situations. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
For example, there is a class called Magic Knight - which has many variations, like plainly using magic just to enhance his weapons, or being able to use magic directly on the enemy, or even using the magic to improve their own skills. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Then, there is the bard. These are the retarded jesters of the fantasy world that almost no one ever plays. Why? Because their only skill is to sing some songs that raise your morale and possibly help you strengthen your abilities. Of course, them being all charisma and no discernible other talent, they are pretty good when it comes to talking to people. Yeah. They can talk to people. Wow. Of course some dude good with singing is not enough. Fantasy worlds also tend to have a rare variation of the bard - the dancer. They generally do the same things as the bard, only instead of singing they dance. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
All right, another class that could be mentioned is the monk. Monks are not the ones you are used to - meaning the bald guys groping little boys in an abandoned church. They are somewhere between a fighter and a rogue, who generally fight with their bare hands. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The alchemists are another class that can be pretty useful at times. They generally combine different materials to create potions and bombs to use in battle - and they are also pretty good at throwing things. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
And the last class that's worth mentioning is the psychic or mentalist, whatever you prefer. This class attacks the enemy's mind directly, using telepathy and other neat tricks. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
So what do you think? Any of these classes fit you well? </div>

Here's a question of "morality" for you guys: is it wrong to destroy books?<br />
<a name='more'></a>I'm guessing that the majority of people who read this post quickly nodded their heads with a strict "hell yes" at the question.<br />
<br />
Because look at our history... HUGE amount of books were burnt or otherwise destroyed in wars or just by some random asshole - and for some people this probably still causes some degree of pain.<br />
<br />
Sure, most of those books were the only copy, thus they might seem invaluable now... no matter what they contained.<br />
<br />
Wait a minute... sooo - if we would know that a book contains only bullshit, or something that's just plain weird and bad... should you destroy it?<br />
<br />
Or, here's another situation...<br />
<br />
Since in these times books are pretty common, and there are millions of copies of them worldwide. When it comes to bookstores and libraries - what do they do with these millions of copies of books... in case they can't sell them?<br />
<br />
Because, let's face it: economically, destroying them would be the best option... (and not destroying them would eventually lead to us being buried under them)<br />
<br />
And in light of that... what do you guys think about the following pics? (Because I really can't decide... I just hope they were made out of books like Twilight or Fifty Shades of Gray. You know... the crap...)<br />
<br />

Not just any guide, though. A guide about what to expect in case you visit Transylvania...<br />
<a name='more'></a>First thing's first - people around here generally don't like all the vampire stuff.<br />
<br />
Yes, you will find countless of souvenirs, because they bring good money - and god knows, we need the money -, but people still find them stupid.<br />
<br />
But let's get down to business, right?<br />
<br />
1. If you end up in a village around here, don't be surprised to find it in a bad shape.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="239" src="http://academic.hws.edu/pge/photogallery/Romania%20Village%20Street.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Meaning, more often than not, villages have dirt paths, which become horribly muddy after a rain. Of course, tractors and carriages that come and go in those times don't help - they generally dig pretty bad holes in the ground. Thus, you will be better off if you live your precious cars at home. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
2. If you travel along these paths, also don't be surprised if you are stopped for long minutes until any animals are shepherded away. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="178" src="http://romaniaguide.tripod.com/tranpics/shepherd.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Yes, you can see shepherds all over the rural areas, especially if you are out at dawn or at the start of the evening, when the animals are generally brought home. They will be loud, smelly, and they will shit and piss all over the road. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
3. Don't be surprised when you find people dressed in traditional garbs. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="217" src="http://zaol.hu/data/cikk/140/5038/cikk_1405038/0.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
People here are all about traditions. Even when it comes to urban holidays you will find people going around in traditional clothes (almost every village has its own style!), and in rural zones even more so. These clothes are generally fucking heavy, hot, and complicated. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
4. Holidays... lots of them. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="224" src="https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/p480x480/392788_565030880196738_1760848039_n.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Rural Transylvania has many, many traditions and holidays, even though nowadays they are not all celebrated in the traditional way. Easter, harvest balls, New Year's Eve, carnivals, weddings, celebration of new wheat and making bread, pig slaughter, a bunch of saints and different beliefs... you know the drill. So, don't be surprised if you arrive at some place when they are having a celebration... It's not a one of a kind happening. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
5. Food and drink... lots of it. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="204" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7010/6553936435_80a8c9d4c0_z.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
If there is something that people take even more seriously than their traditions over here are feasts. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
We like to eat, and we generally eat a lot. A lot of greasy food, and a lot of meat. Also, there will be a lot of alcohol going along with that, and, of course desserts too. But let me tell you something here - they are all natural. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
In rural areas people still make their own wine and beer and spirits (especially), they still gather their own fruits and vegetables, and they still slaughter their own animals (of course, depending on where you are at). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Thus, when someone hands you a glass of "pálinka", you WILL drink it. And enjoy it as it burns down your throat (its alcohol content can be anywhere between 37.5% and 86%). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I'm serious, guys - people don't like it when you refuse food or drink. Thus... </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
6. Be humble and polite. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
As I said before, people here take their traditions seriously. Especially in rural areas. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Thus, here are a few advice you should take... First off, never accept a compliment - and don't be surprised if people won't accept them either. For example, if you would tell a parent that "Your son is very smart", they will more than likely tell you that "no, he's pretty stupid, actually". It's not because we are nasty, evil assholes, it's because we are trying to be humble. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Also, here's something that will make your life a bit easier... if you are invited for dinner, or to visit someone else's house, you would do better to bring a little gift with you. Alcohol generally is enough, but if you bring flowers, always bring an odd number of them, because even numbers are only used at funerals. If you bring other gifts, they are generally opened as soon as they are received. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
When you visit someone, never accept food drinks or gift at the first time it's offered. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Even if you are on the verge of dying from hunger... Don't worry, though - you will be asked multiple times to serve some food or drink. A good host always asks multiple times. Thus, when you expect someone from around here, don't take "no, thank you" literally. They will expect to be asked more than one time... </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Always address people by their honorific title when you first meet them. Keep using this, unless you are invited to use their first name. Until you ARE invited, you will be considered an outsider, and thus treated with the utmost formality. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Oh, by the way- when it comes to business, be prepared to have to work on personal relationships too. Generally you will be able to cross some doors more easily if you are treated like a friend, and not a stranger. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
7. Don't be offended. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
People here are generally curious, and because we were cut of from the rest of the world for quite a long time, the general populace is also "weird" around strangers. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
People around here will oftentimes intrude in your "personal bubble", so to say - they will shake your hands, they will kiss you and they will touch you. I have to admit that this is not something I like either, but it's something that you can get used to. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Also, people will ask you annoying questions, and people will refer to you with words that you might find hurtful. (For example I still use the word "néger", which I'm guessing, comes from "nigger" - when talking about black people. It's not because I'm racist - for me it's just a word. I guess you don't know it till you live it, right?) As I said, don't be offended - people don't generally use the words to hurt you. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
8. Dining... formal, that is. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
When you are invited somewhere it is generally expected of you to arrive on time - formal parties have up to about 15 minutes of time in which you can be late. Formal dinners require formal clothes too, and when you arrive check if shoes are to be removed. There are a whole bunch of homes where you can't enter the house with outside shoes (some people offer you slippers instead). </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
At the table - for goes into left hand, knife is the right. Napkin always on the table, never in your lap. You can use bread to clean out your plate! Soak that gravy up, because it's the best part! </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
All right, so all of this makes us seem like real uptight assholes, doesn't it? Don't be fooled, tho, if you keep to common sense you will find yourself in the hands of very generous hosts. </div>

I know, I know, smoothies never really "go out", but I have to admit, yesterday was the first of this year when I actually attempted to make a smoothie.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a>But let me stop for a minute here.<br />
<br />
I also have to admit that once upon a time I tried making smoothies, but for some reason hated it - probably it was the overpowering taste of banana - I'm not a big fan of bananas, really.<br />
<br />
Thus, I never attempted to make one again. That is, until yesterday.<br />
<br />
Smoothies are great, guys.<br />
<br />
I actually realized that the bananas are generally only used for the texture of it, and that you can mask its taste with other yummy ingredients. (duh)<br />
<br />
Anyways, here's a basic recipe for any smoothie, as far as I could see.<br />
<br />
First, you will need to get your ingredients: half cup of milk, about 3-4 ice cubes, and bananas. Those are ALWAYS in it.<br />
<br />
Now, since we had some nectarines at home, I decided to make a smoothie out of those, so I did the following thing:<br />
<br />
sliced up the bananas, and placed them in the blender, accompanied with a cup of orange juice. When I got a nice smooth texture, I added the cut up nectarines (people generally peel them too, but I don't mind the peel, and I was also too lazy to do that...) and the ice cubes. Again, blend until smooth. The last thing you want to add is the milk, and once again, you will have to blend it all together - only now it will become all nice and frothy.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
And there you go. Nectarine smoothie. (no, the pic is not mine... I'm disgusting, I'm drinking it right out of the blender...:P) </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="265" src="http://www.rawfoodrecipes.com/images/stories/rapidrecipe/22770-nectarinesmoothie.jpg" width="400" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Anyways, guys, this is not where you have to stop. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
It's pretty fun to experiment with smoothies - you can use all kinds of other fruits and ingredients to get that amazing taste you want. For example, although the strawberry season is over, if you still have some of those fruits, you can do the following: </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Once again, blend a banana, but this time add the strawberries too. Then, instead of the orange juice you can add half a cup of yogurt to it, a bit of honey and cinnamon, then of course the ice and the milk. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="400" src="http://www.bubblews.com/assets/images/news/1019793460_1359836903.jpg" width="251" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Also, apparently you can add other - not so liquid stuff to it too. I've actually seen smoothies that have crumbled pound cakes in them. You know... instead of the yogurt. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="265" src="http://www.kraftrecipes.com/assets/recipe_images/Strawberry_Yogurt_Smoothie.jpg" width="400" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Of course these are all sweet ones. People didn't stop there either. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Apparently there are quite a bunch of smoothies that don't use fruits, but veggies. I'm not really sure that I would love those, but apparently some people out there do, so here are a few ideas. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Peel, seed and chop 2 cucumbers. Blend them with some lime juice, water, ice and sugar or honey. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="300" src="http://img.foodnetwork.com/FOOD/2011/02/28/FNM_040111-Insert-013_s4x3_lg.jpg" width="400" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Also, as far as I can see ginger is a pretty popular choice too. And beetroot. For this one you will need a fresh beet, an apple, lemon juice, fresh ginger, and ice cubes. No milk, or yogurt or bananas... </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="400" src="http://us.123rf.com/400wm/400/400/vanillaechoes/vanillaechoes1203/vanillaechoes120300075/12936485-beetroot-apple-and-ginger-smoothie.jpg" width="267" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I know, I know... people eat some weird shit... But how about this one? </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Mexican coffee smoothie! </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
For this one you will need some chilled espresso or any strong coffee, milk, sugar, cinnamon, almond extract, and ice. Blend them all nicely together, and voila... </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
And of course this is not where you have to stop. (again) </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I've also seen smoothies made with peanut butter. Or kale. Or chocolate (of course, chocolate, yumm!), or maple, or cookies, or oatmeal, or poppy seed or spinach - or other veggies, like tomato juice and carrot juice and cucumber and celery and parsley and spinach and ice all blended together... </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
And if you are fond of some spice, you can make some Mint- Jalapeno smoothie... </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Which goes like this: blend fresh mint, jalapeno peppers (preferably seeded), honey, a pinch of salt, 2 cups of yogurt and ice. Can be topped with toasted cumin... </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="299" src="http://www.karlieyoga.com/uploads/6/9/4/4/6944990/8398744.jpg" width="400" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
So what do you think guys? Are we ready for summer vacation? </div>

And because we all love a bit of nostalgia - and being scared- from time to time, today I thought that I shall post here a few GIFs that fall under the terrifying category.<br />
<a name='more'></a>So, guys, if you don't want to be scared, I guess you might as well shut this post off right about now...<br />

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10272450019968586919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6372962320814876298.post-249993692745669242013-06-25T11:34:00.001+03:002013-06-25T11:34:25.237+03:00...I can probably say that I'm out of my depressed little hole. Yesterday I downloaded a whole fucking bunch of Stephen King books to my tablet - like 55 that I didn't really read before (even though I know almost all of them from movies...).<br />
<a name='more'></a>And, because yesterday evening the Under the Dome series started running on TV, I actually started reading it too.<br />
<br />
What I can tell you about it is that I barely read anything, and I fucking love it. I can barely wait for the show to be downloaded so I can finally check it out - the way the book starts is freakin' awesome...<br />
<br />
You know... with people being cut in two, cars and airplanes exploding, people killing other people... awesome!<br />
<br />
I guess this is just what I needed. Stephen King always seems to be my last resort - and whenever I pick a King book up, I always think about the things he said about writing:<br />
<br />
"The scariest moment is always just before you start."<br />
<br />
"You can, you should, and if you're are brave enough to start, you will."<br />
<br />
"Writing isn't about making money, getting famous, getting dates, getting laid or making friends. In the end, it's about enriching the lives of those who will read your work, and enriching your own life, as well. It's about getting up, getting well, and getting over. Getting happy, okay? Getting happy."<br />
<br />
"In many cases when a reader puts a story aside because it 'got boring', the boredom arose because the writer grew enchanted with his powers of description and lost sight of his priority, which is to keep the ball rolling."<br />
<br />
"If you want to be a writer, you must do two things above all others: read a lot and write a lot. There's no way around these two things that I'm aware of, no shortcut."<br />
<br />
"I have spent a good many years since - too many, I think- being ashamed of what I write. I think I was forty before I realized that almost every writer of fiction or poetry who has ever published a line has been accused by someone of wasting his or her God-given talent. If you write (or paint or dance or sculpt or sing, I suppose), someone will try to make you feel lousy about it, that's all."<br />
<br />
So yeah, guys here we are. Back at the door of mister King. Oooh, I do hope he won't turn me away, because I will be left without any more resources then.<br />
<br />
And what about you guys? Do you have anyone you can fall back on in times of crisis?Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10272450019968586919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6372962320814876298.post-69003926373855865682013-06-24T14:52:00.000+03:002013-06-24T14:52:50.020+03:00...happened to find today was an article about strange things found in rock. And no, this post won't be about Jesus' face in your burnt toast either.<br />
<a name='more'></a>I used to love the thought of digging for ancient artifacts as a child, an I generally liked everything about ancient history. I guess History classes at my school were just not interesting enough for me to keep up the interest - and the nature studies I'm mastering now just proved that rocks and soil are definitely not my thing (I think whenever I failed to pass a test, it was a subject that had to do something with those things...).<br />
<br />
Still, just because I'm not good at it, doesn't mean that I can't be fascinated with things found deep down - after all, weird things are always interesting.<br />
<br />
Thus, I gathered up a few things that people actually found in rocks, that they have no idea how they got there. By the way, did I mention that these things actually have a name? Yep, they are generally known as Ooparts: out-of-place-artifacts.<br />
<br />
1. Coso artifact<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="265" src="http://www.utaot.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/The-Coso-Artifact.jpg" width="400" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
This particular artifact is said to be a spark plug of some sorts, and it is said that it was found in a hard clay rock in 1961, that was supposed to be 500.000 years old.<br />
<br />
Of course, those are just the conspiracy theories speaking. Apparently, there were no actual studies done about the age of the rock this was encased in, thus saying that it was 500.000 years old might be a huge mistake. Also, according to some people the nodule surrounding the plug can fuse together in a matter of years or decades.<br />
<br />
The artifact disappeared from public eyes in 2008, and since then it is unknown what happened to it. I'm guessing someone realized it was fake and got rid of it.<br />
<br />
2. Vase<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="A bell-shaped vessel discovered in 1852 at Dorchester (Massachusetts, USA)" src="http://i1.wp.com/www.badarchaeology.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/dorchester_vase.jpg?resize=250%2C304" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Another interesting story - in 1851, Scientific American reprinted a report from the Boston Transcript. This report said that they found a metallic vase, torn in two by a dynamite blast in a 100.000 year old rock. This vase was bell-shape, made of zinc and silver, and it was inlaid with pure silver. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
And as these things go, here are a few thoughts that we should take into account: first off, this is apparently Victorian style. Second, it was apparently actually found in the rubble after the blast, so there is no actual proof hat it came from inside the rocks. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
3. Roman heads</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="343" src="http://i.crackedcdn.com/phpimages/article/3/4/8/125348_v1.jpg" width="400" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Oh, all right, it's not an actual head, it's only a statue. Still, what I found interesting about this is that it was discovered in freaking Mexico. Under two undisturbed cement floors that were untouched since the 1500's. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
So what do you guys think about this? Do you think that Columbus brought with him an ancient Roman artifact and buried it just to be funny? </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I don't think so, since the first time any white person reached Mexico was in 1519. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
So there we go guys... Before Columbus, Romans also discovered a new continent. Way to go. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
4. Aluminium Wedge </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="Aiud2" height="301" src="http://i0.wp.com/listverse.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/aiud2-tm.jpg?resize=300%2C227" width="400" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I always found the lack of any interesting historical conspiracy theory around the place I live a bit of unnerving. I guess ancient aliens and future time travelers never really cared about Eastern Europe... </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Still, when I found this one I guess I got my hopes up a bit. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This Aluminium Wedge was apparently found in Aiud, in 1974. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
A guy who generally wrote for Hungarian paranormal magazines said that it was found under 35 feet of sand, along with two mastodon bones. This would mean that the thing is at least 11.000 years old. Aluminium was not discovered until 1808, and it was produced in mass only in 1885. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Sadly any more info on the subject is nonexistent, possibly because the stupid communists didn't like you digging around in the local history. Ah well, I guess I'm just relieved that our ancestors weren't too primitive to be included in stupid shit. </div>

We had a pretty good time, despite the slight annoyances (finding our place with weed higher than us, spending half the day in freaking hot sun, then having to stay in the house for hours because it rained).<br />
<a name='more'></a>Of course we took a short stroll down our little "garden"- if you could call it that, and I took a few pics of the fruits we have lying around the place... so, of course I just have to post them here...<br />

I am once again stumped when it comes to thinking up new topics to talk about, but thankfully I have some friends who usually help me out in these moments.<br />
<a name='more'></a>But let me not bore you with all that, and let's get down to business. As in, introducing the first prize winner of the "Mother Nature was drunk last night" awards.<br />
<br />
Now, before I entertain you with pictures of a Potoo (I can barely even say that name out loud without grinning like a fool), here's a little info about it.<br />
<br />
If you think that Potoo is a bad name, imagine this... they are also called Poor-me-ones because of the sounds they make. Oh, speaking of the sound, <a href="http://macaulaylibrary.org/audio/75214/play">check it out</a>. I swear, it will be worth it. It kind of reminded me of that viral video about that woman who falls when she is trying to stomp some grapes.<br />
<br />
You know the one... where someone sounds like they are clearly hurt, but you just can't stop laughing...<br />
<br />
Anyway, these birds are nocturnal ones, and they will probably remind you of really fucked up owls when you look at them.<br />
<br />
They live in the Mexico-Argentina area of the world, and they can camouflage themselves during the day so well that it will be hard for someone who is not familiar with them to observe them... like, check this out:<br />
<br />

<img height="276" src="http://iliketowastemytime.com/sites/default/files/natures-spies-camouflaged-animals-15.jpg" width="640" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
There are a bunch of different types of Potoos, and you don't have anything to fear from them - they eat insects and keep away from us as much as they can. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
And now... now comes the best part of it all. Let's hope this will get you in high spirits for the upcoming weekend, guys... </div>

<br /></div>

<img height="412" src="http://www.pleated-jeans.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/IK8Rh03.jpg" width="640" /></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
And even with them looking like the world's every comedic show put together and printed out on a paper, you somehow can't help yourself but love them: </div>
