I realize that this series is slowly becoming the Harry Potter of our childhood - there are huge masses of people with their eyes on the screens at least, even if they can't get themselves to read the books.

I have to admit, that this post first started out with that, but it somehow ended up all going in a circle and ending up at Game of Thrones once again.

...realized yesterday was that kids who grew up with Harry Potter, are now old enough to enjoy The Game of Thrones.
And because these two series are the most successful fantasy books of our generations, I thought that there must me something common in them. But what?
