Since today we saw a bunch of dancing places in the town with my friends, I decided to do a list of some of them.
Now, I have to admit I'm not exactly a pro when it comes to dancing, but I do enjoy it. There is something about letting go and having fun trough dance, isn't it?
I have to admit, that I will only post the dances I like the most, so this list is totally mine...
Here we go then!
1. Viennese Waltz
I will start off the list the the Viennese Waltz, because... well, everyone knows it. I think it's awesome to see it, especially when it's time for a ball. I wish there would be someone to teach it to me... I always wanted to learn some ballroom dances. Here is a short video, so you can enjoy it!
2. Quickstep
Since we are at the topic of ballroom dancing, here is one of my favorites. Quickstep is really energetic, and it has such an amazingly happy stile, it makes me smile. I bet, though, the beginners out there got quite a few kicks to their shins... Here's a video so you start the next one with a smile.
3. Irish dance
If you have never heard of Riverdance before, you probably live under a rock or something. Riverdance is in my opinion the most epic thing that happened to dancing. If you don't believe me, here look at this video...
Also, I could bet my finger on it, that you already know a few dances that became popular, only for one single song. Maybe, you remember the ...
4. Macarena?
Come one, admit it, you know how to dance the macarena!
5. Electric Slide
I actually didn't know this one, till this summer, when at my "graduation" party one of my colleagues showed it to me. It's easy to learn!
6. The Ketchup dance!
Oh dear, I remember dancing to this one sooooo many times. If you don't know it yet... you must be really really young. (And probably not reading this blog?)
7. The chicken dance
Now this one you probably learned when you were like... 3 years old. Till today I still find this dance funny... especially since I've seen it done by adults. Whatever your age tho, it will probably give you a few laughs...
8. YMCA
'nuff said.
9. Cotton eyed Joe
This list is not complete without this one.
10. El meneaito
Here's another one! I'm not exactly sure that foreign people know this, but we have this thing here in Romania... Anyways, I found this vid, it's on the shore of the Black Sea...
+1. Please don't kill me... but I just HAD to do this.
