...am going to show you guys today are a bunch of scary looking animals.

Weird and scary, both, that is.
The thing is that even if these animals are ugly as hell, they would be missed if they would suddenly disappear. But without any further ado, here they are...

1. Hagfish

These are quite unique animals, because they are the only ones that have a skull, but lack a vertebral column. They also resemble eels, and to make them even more disgusting than they already they also produce slime.

What's fascinating about them, though, is that they are living fossils. The hagfish now look like the hagfish 300 million years ago.

2. California Condor

The California Condor is the largest North American bird. Its wingspan is 3 meters, and it can weight up to 12 kilograms. They can also live up to 60 years.

The baby birds usually have grey head, and then it will slowly turn into bright orange and pink as they mature. The pink skin color usually means that the bird is a breeding adult.

They were on the verge of extinction, but when they were kept in captivity they managed to breed enough so they could be reintroduced into the wild. Nowadays there are about 400 condors, with almost half of them still living in captivity.

3. Alligator Snapping Turtle

This is the largest freshwater turtle in the world. The largest unverified turtle of this kind grew up to 183 kilograms, but since this wasn't official, it is highly debated. Instead, the largest verified turtle was a 16 years old, 113 kilograms one.

The alligator turtles are carnivorous, and they eat both live and dead organisms. They eat anything that they are able to catch. Their primary meal consists of fishes, but they will also eat birds and even other turtles. also, if small mammals (squirrels, armadillos, raccoon, opossums) would come close to the waters they live in, they would hunt them down.

4. Lonomia Caterpillar

These are so disgusting, they can actually become something beautiful. They are also the deadliest caterpillars you'll ever see.

They live in South America, in the bark of trees, blending in so nicely, you will probably not see them until you touch them. Most accidents occur when tourists lean against trees.

They have a very powerful anticoagulant venom, which- if you are affected by it- means that you will have some serious internal bleeding not too long after contact. So, in case you are in South America, please try to refrain from coming in contact with trees. As I said, sometimes you won't notice them even if you are looking out for them. They blend in very well.

5. Gharial

These animals are related to alligators and crocodiles, and as you can see, they have long, beak-like jaws.

They live in India, and are one of the longest animals of this type. But if you would come face to face with it, don't panic; they mainly eat  fish.

In fact, this is why their jaws are so long and thin: this way, the resistance of the water will become minimal as he hunts for fishes. His teeth are just good for this too.

They will never attack humans, so as I said, don't worry about them. I think there are quite a large variety of other animals that you need to look out for.
